Following the debate in the European Parliament on the no-confidence vote against European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, “we are left without real answers”, wrote on “Facebook” Hungarian Minister for European Affairs János Boka, adding that “a change is needed in the European Union“, the Hungarian news agency MTI reported, BTA reports.

“In her short speech, Von der Leyen neither responded to the serious accusations against her, nor touched on the missing messages or the unfavorable trade agreements concluded with the United States“, the minister said.

He pointed out that it seemed to him that the European Commission was only concerned about the war and Ukraine, instead of the European economy and the daily problems of its citizens.

Boka added that Europe's competitiveness “is ruined“ and “industry is in crisis because of the wrong climate goals“. He noted that businesses “are more difficult than ever“, and the union “is lagging behind in global competition“.

“It is time for Brussels to have a leadership that does not wage ideological wars, but works for the European future. Change is needed in the EU“, concluded János Boka.
