The perpetrator of the attack on a synagogue in the British city of Manchester last week, in which two people were killed, has pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group, local police said today, quoted by the Associated Press, reports BTA.
Jihad al-Shami called the emergency number during the attack on October 2 to declare his allegiance.
Ash-Shami, 35, was shot dead by police outside the Heaton Park synagogue in Manchester after he drove into pedestrians, attacked them with a knife and tried to enter the temple.
