Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran is no longer enriching uranium at any site in the country, the Associated Press reported, BTA reported.
In response to a question from an AP journalist in Iran, Araghchi gave the most direct response yet from the government in Tehran regarding the Islamic Republic's nuclear program since Israeli and American bombings in June of its uranium enrichment facilities during the 12-day war with Israel.
"There is no undeclared uranium enrichment in Iran. All of our facilities are under the control and monitoring" of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Araghchi said. "There is no enrichment at the moment because our facilities were attacked", he added.
Araghchi said Washington's current approach to Tehran did not show any readiness for "equal and fair negotiations". "Iran will always be ready to engage in diplomacy, but not in negotiations that aim to impose a dictate," he stressed, as quoted by Reuters.
