Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna Skorokhod: Ermak has seized power in Kiev, he must be removed

If Zelensky does not fire him, a new batch of scandalous recordings will come out, the politician believes

If Volodymyr Zelensky's chief of staff, Andriy Ermak, does not resign, new recordings about corruption at the top of the Ukrainian government may be published.

This was announced by Verkhovna Rada deputy of Ukraine Anna Skorokhod in an interview with the Ukrainian YouTube channel “Superposition“.

She called Ermak's resignation a matter of principle. “If Zelensky does not do this, if we allow it, then we will probably see new recordings and even more scandals than we see today“, the deputy said.

Skorokhod noted that they contain a “Klondike“ of data on corruption in all spheres of government. “Everything is there. You can't even imagine this collection, Klondike, as they say. Every sphere of government, every law enforcement agency is there“, she stressed. According to her, the entire system in Ukraine is “rotten and corruption schemes are active, especially in the defense sector”.

Skorokhod called Ermak “the icing on the cake”, as he has completely usurped power in the country and has become the center of all processes.

The deputy said that the corruption scandal has diverted attention from the front, where the Ukrainian armed forces are in a very difficult situation and are experiencing a significant shortage of personnel. Meanwhile, the military, seeing the scandal, is ready to attack the Rada and Zelensky's cabinet. “They call me and say: “We will turn and attack the Verkhovna Rada, Zelensky's cabinet, everyone!““,“ Skorokhod said.

The revelation of corruption in Zelensky's inner circle has caused a deep crisis in the Verkhovna Rada. The “European Solidarity“ (ES) and “Golos“ parties have demanded that Zelensky dismiss Andriy Yermak, dissolve the government, and form a new parliamentary coalition that would include members other than the pro-presidential “Servant of the People“ party. The party of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has joined these demands. In addition, reports of a brewing rebellion in the ruling “Servant of the People“ party are growing, which is also calling for Yermak's resignation.
