More sanctions against Russia will follow, and the EU's measures so far are working strongly, EU High Representative Kaia Kallas said at a press conference after today's meeting of the EU Council on Foreign Affairs, BTA reports.

She noted that according to European intelligence data, Russian crude oil exports have decreased significantly since the imposition of European sanctions, and tax revenues in the Russian treasury from sales are the lowest since the start of the war in Ukraine. Russia is afraid of the reparations loan being discussed by the EU, said Kallas on the possibility of Ukraine receiving funds from seized Russian property. According to her, Moscow is running out of money and is trying to impose force, although this is unfounded.

We have not seen a single concession from the Russian side, she noted regarding the new peace plan for Ukraine under discussion. In order to achieve a successful peace plan, it must be supported by Ukraine and Europe. If Russia wants peace, it should have accepted the ceasefire proposal back in March. The EU has a clear two-point plan - weakening Russia and supporting Ukraine, Kallas summarized.

Regarding the sabotage of a railway line in Poland, she stated that Russian hybrid actions in Europe are becoming increasingly harmful. Russia is carrying out state-sponsored terrorism, Kallas said. We can respond in many ways, including with sanctions, she added.
