The coming weeks will prove to be crucial for resolving the Ukrainian crisis, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said, quoted by the AP.

I believe a turning point has come and the next two to three weeks will be extremely important, predicts Hungarian Prime Minister.

Orban mentioned the US plan, noting that "this peace plan includes proposals on which the Russians and the Americans have already held preliminary discussions". He expressed confidence that this plan would be an important step in organizing a possible forum in Budapest to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

Earlier, according to Western media reports, the Donald Trump administration presented a 28-point plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

The plan includes, in particular, security guarantees based on Article 5 of the NATO Charter, a non-aggression agreement between Russia and Ukraine, Kiev's refusal to join NATO, and a reduction in the size of the Ukrainian armed forces.

The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, answering a question from journalists whether the Kremlin could confirm the information about the existence of a plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, said: "On this issue, I can only say what we have already repeated many times (...): we cannot add anything new to what was said in Anchorage. In this case, we have no news".
