Former British Prime Minister David Cameron has admitted he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2024.

In an interview with The Times, the former Conservative Party leader revealed that he had a prostate-specific antigen test last year, which came back high, and he had to undergo an MRI and biopsy.

“I don't really like to discuss my personal intimate health issues, but I feel compelled to do so. Let's be honest - men are not good at talking about our health. We tend to put these things aside. We are embarrassed to talk about something like the prostate because it is closely linked to sexual health. "I would feel bad if I didn't admit I had that experience. I had a screening. It helped me identify that something was wrong," the former prime minister said.

Cameron revealed that he had undergone focal therapy for prostate cancer, followed by another MRI - this happened the week the US struck Iran's nuclear facilities in June 2025.

"It was a huge relief," is how the former prime minister described the MRI results.
