Foreign Ministers of Bulgaria and Ukraine Georgy Georgiev and Andriy Sibiga held a telephone conversation on further steps to develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries, Ukrinform reported, citing a post on the social networks of the Ukrainian first diplomat.
Sibiga said last night in “Ex“ that during a conversation with the Bulgarian Foreign Minister he informed him “about the consequences of the massive Russian attacks on the civilian and energy infrastructure of Ukraine“.
The two discussed the latest developments surrounding efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine, as well as “further steps to advance bilateral cooperation“, the Ukrainian minister said.
“I am grateful for Bulgaria's support for our accession to the EU and for its contribution to our resilience, in particular for the transit of gas to Ukraine“, added Sibiga.
On Wednesday, Georg Georgiev participated in the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels, where he stressed that Bulgaria remains committed to supporting Ukraine, as this is support for the international legal order and for the principle that might cannot prevail over right.
