A new batch of declassified documents in the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein contains multiple references to US President Donald Trump, The Guardian reported, citing materials published by the US Department of Justice.

Among the nearly 30,000 pages is an email from January 2020 from a prosecutor claiming that Trump flew on Epstein's private jet more often than previously thought.

The document describes eight flights between 1993 and 1996, including flights with underage passengers who could serve as witnesses in the case against Epstein's accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.

The Justice Department itself emphasizes that these allegations are unfounded and “baseless“. The new batch also found a forged letter, allegedly written by Epstein to convicted sex offender Larry Nassar, the doctor of the US gymnastics team. The FBI previously confirmed that this document was forged.

The Justice Department released part of the Epstein case file on December 20. In total, there are 3,965 files, most of which are photos. The total size of the data is 3 GB. The materials are divided into four groups. Some files are single images, while others are multi-page documents.

Epstein was accused of arranging visits to his Manhattan home and private island for dozens of underage girls from 2002 to 2005. Investigators found that the youngest of the invitees was 14 years old. In August 2019, the financier committed suicide in his prison cell.
