The Ukrainian President's Office may be headed by Vladislav Vlasyuk, Secretary of the Ukrainian President for Sanctions Policy, to replace Andriy Yermak, who resigned amid a corruption scandal, sources from the presidential office told “Mirror of the Week“.
According to the source, Vlasyuk was brought to the presidential office by Darya Zarivna, a former freelance advisor and fellow student of Yermak.
Vlasyuk has been a freelance employee in the Office of the President of Ukraine since 2020. Since April 2022, he has been the secretary of the Yermak-McFaul International Expert Group, which deals with sanctions against Russia. In 2024, he became Secretary for Sanctions Policy. He is also the First Deputy Head and First Secretary of the Interdepartmental Task Force, which searches for and seizes the assets of individuals sanctioned by Kiev.
In 2012, Vlasyuk received a law license and began practicing law. He is a co-founder, managing partner and attorney at the law firm “iPravo“. Before joining the Ukrainian presidential office, he worked in the National Police, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
Andriy Yermak resigned in late November amid a corruption scandal in the energy sector. His home was searched the day he resigned. NABU detective Ruslan Magamedrasulov later said that this was not related to the “Mindych case“.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on the evening of December 30 that he had chosen a candidate to head his office, promising to announce personnel changes in early 2026.
He had previously said that he was considering two candidates for the vacant position: First Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and Defense Minister Denys Shmygal. Zelensky noted that the problem was that “someone must replace them in their current positions“.
