Russia attacked Odessa with drones early this morning, 24tv reported. Several powerful explosions were heard in the city, local people reported. At least 4 buildings were destroyed, one of them was literally split in half.

According to the services in Odessa, the kamikaze drones approached the city from the Black Sea.

There was also an attack on Zaporozhye. There, after the drone strikes, windows of high-rise buildings were broken and cars were damaged. There are no reports of casualties.

Russia is preparing new attacks on our energy infrastructure and all services must be maximally prepared to respond.

This was stated by Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmygal after a meeting of the Energy Headquarters, Ukrinform reports.

"Thanks to the work of emergency teams and rising temperatures, we are observing a trend towards improving the power supply situation. At the same time, intelligence has reported that our enemy is preparing new strikes and we must be able to react“, added Shmygal.

According to the headquarters, the most serious situation continues to be in Odessa and the frontline areas. In the capital Kiev, over 200 teams are working to restore power supply.

The minister announced that after a series of negotiations, an agreement was reached with France, which will allocate 600 million euros to improve Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

Ukraine may agree to lose territories in peace negotiations with Russia in exchange for the prospect of rapid EU membership in the next few years.

This is what the German newspaper Die Welt writes, citing diplomatic sources in Brussels.

According to them, the United States, as mediators in the peace talks, is trying to implement a scenario in which Kiev should receive EU membership and security guarantees in in exchange for Russia "to a significant extent" taking control of Donbas.

Diplomats say that Volodymyr Zelensky needs a real trump card if he wants to win the support of the population on the issue of territorial concessions to Russia.

That is why the EU may agree to a procedure for accelerated accession of Ukraine, which in the current plans for a peace treaty is foreseen for next year. Diplomats in Brussels, however, comment that this is unrealistic and point to a more likely deadline of 2028-2030.

As a reason for this, they point out that Kiev is "light years" away from from meeting the requirements of the EU membership procedures, such as the fight against corruption and the rule of law, Die Welt also writes.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have shot down a Russian Su-34 aircraft.

The 21st aircraft was introduced into service with the Russian Armed Forces in 2014, it was manufactured under a contract concluded with the Ministry of Defense in 2012.

Meanwhile, another channel, AviVector, reported that the aircraft was destroyed at around 23:20 while performing a combat mission over Zaporozhye region. The bomber itself took off from the "Armavir" airfield.

At this time, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of Russia have not reported or commented on the information about the destruction of the Russian fighter-bomber.
