The US has struck a ship in the Caribbean Sea that the military says is being used by drug traffickers, the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) press service reported on social media.

The statement said the ship was traveling along “known drug trafficking routes“ in the Caribbean and was involved in drug trafficking operations. Three men involved in these activities were killed in the strike. No US military casualties were reported.

Late last year, several senior US lawmakers suspected Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth of possible war crimes. According to The Washington Post, during one of the operations, the US military struck a boat suspected of drug trafficking in the Caribbean. After the attack, sources said there were two survivors on board and an order was given to eliminate them. One source said "the order was to kill everyone."

Pete Hegseth dismissed the reports as "fabricated, inflammatory and derogatory." He said the operations were targeting drug cartels and were conducted in accordance with U.S. and international law.
