An explosion occurred in Kharkiv against the backdrop of an airstrike warning in the region, Ukrinform agency reported on its Telegram channel.
„An explosion was heard in Kharkiv”, the agency said in a statement.
From 9:51 p.m., an air alert was sounded in the Kharkiv region.
The Russian military is attacking energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities across Ukraine. As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized, in the battles with the Ukrainian armed forces, the army "does not hit residential buildings or social infrastructure".
Several explosions also erupted in the Kyiv-controlled city of Kherson, Ukrainian publication Channel 24 reported.
No airstrike warning has been issued in the areas of Kherson region controlled by Ukrainian forces.
