Sullivan spoke with Saudi Prince Salman, Netanyahu briefed on meeting

The White House national security adviser and the crown prince discussed options to minimize civilian casualties in Gaza

Jake Sullivan held constructive meetings Sunday with the crown prince of Saudi Arabia's Mohammed bin Salman has informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the talks, the American side said, quoted by Reuters and BTA.

Sullivan spoke with Netanyahu and his team about their meetings in Saudi Arabia and about “opportunities that may be available to Israel as well as the Palestinian people right now”. The two also discussed the war in the Gaza Strip and the need to minimize civilian casualties.

The White House National Security Adviser has confirmed “the need for Israel to link its military operations with a political strategy that can ensure the permanent defeat of “Hamas”, the release of all hostages and a better future for Gaza” , the message says.
