Biden flies from Puglia, lands at donor event in Southern California

US President flies through nine time zones, his plane lands only for refueling in Washington

US President Joe Biden went directly from the summit of G -7 in the southern Italian region of Puglia in Southern California for a glamorous event where he will collect donations for his election campaign, Associated Press reported, quoted by BTA.

To do this, the president flew through nine time zones and his plane landed only to refuel in Washington.

In the event at the "Peacock" with 7,100 seats in Hollywood also included former US President Barack Obama and actors George Clooney and Julia Roberts. The guests of the event are expected to be interviewed by the popular American TV host Jimmy Kimmel.

Showbiz stars are increasingly joining the Biden campaign, hoping to raise funds for him and spur supporters to go to the polls and vote against Biden's opponent, Donald Trump.

The event in Hollywood was now attended by leading House Democrats as well as California's Democratic governor, Gavin Newsom.

While Biden is raising funds for his election campaign, at the Ukraine peace conference being held in Switzerland, the US is represented by Vice President Kamala Harris.
