Ukraine will be a key part of the future European security architecture. This was stated today by the European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius during a forum in Brussels dedicated to defense production, BTA reports.
“Ukraine will soon join the EU, and even today it is an integral part of the European defense industry“, he pointed out. According to him, the Ukrainian armed forces have accumulated invaluable combat experience, especially in the use of drones, which will be of significant benefit to the European Union.
Kubilius warned that the army of drones built by the aggressor in the war in Ukraine is preparing to strike both NATO and EU countries. "To stop Putin, we need to produce more - together, the EU and Ukraine," he stressed.
"Victory in World War II was not only on the battlefield, but also in the factories. This is still true today - peace is achieved through strength, and strength comes from production capacity and intelligence," the European Commissioner concluded.
