French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron will pay a state visit to the UK from July 8 to 10, the Elysee Palace announced today. The visit is at the invitation of Britain's King Charles III and Queen Camilla, BTA reports.
The royal couple paid a reciprocal state visit to France two years ago.
As part of the visit, Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will chair the 37th Franco-British summit, which will also be attended by ministers from both countries.
The two leaders are at the center of efforts to achieve international guarantees for Ukraine's security as part of a potential future peace agreement. On Saturday, Macron and Starmer visited Kiev along with the leaders of Germany and Poland to demonstrate solidarity and support for the Ukrainian leadership.
