Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his desire to hold a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, not ruling out the possibility of US President Donald Trump joining it, the Anadolu Agency reported, quoted by BTA.
“My greatest wish is to bring Putin and Zelensky together in one place, in Ankara or Istanbul“, Erdogan said, emphasizing that he would like US President Donald Trump to join such a meeting. "Let's meet and make Istanbul a center of peace," Erdogan also urged, saying that if Putin and Zelensky agree to meet, he will also join them.
"The fact that today's meeting took place, despite yesterday's incident, is a huge achievement in itself," Erdogan also said, commenting on the talks held in Istanbul today between Russia and Ukraine.
