The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced that it has sent a new convoy of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as part of the “Brave Knight 3“ initiative, the UAE state news agency - UAM reported. The initiative is aimed at supporting displaced Palestinians and alleviating the worsening humanitarian situation in the region, BTA reports.

The aid includes 1,039 tons of food and flour, which is expected to cover the needs of approximately 1.3 million people. The support is in line with the UN’s efforts to address the dire conditions facing the Gaza population, who are facing severe shortages of basic foodstuffs.

Operation “Brave Knight 3” is providing a continuous and large-scale flow of humanitarian assistance through all possible channels. Despite the numerous challenges on the ground, the UAE continues its efforts to deliver food to the enclave.

The initiative also provides targeted support to 31 bakeries, which play a key role in providing bread and basic foodstuffs to the local population.
