Europe saw what the goal of Bulgarian politicians is. It is no different from the goal of the Russian leadership towards Ukraine. Instead of reaching out to Macedonia and supporting us, which is also part of the Good Neighborhood Agreement, they have a different goal. This is an attempt to assimilate the Macedonian people and engineer identity.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of North Macedonia Hristijan Mickoski, BGNES reported, quoted by dariknews.bg.

„This should not happen in the 21st century, and from a member state of the European Union, which should share European values. I do not expect our eastern neighbor and this government to send a different message“, he added.

According to him, Bulgaria's ultimate goal “is not for a few hundred Macedonian citizens to be part of the Constitution, but is much deeper and more dangerous for Europe“.

“The European Union is losing its image and I do not know how long it will be patient with this attitude from our eastern neighbor.“, added Mickoski.
