French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot announced that France will send four flights of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, each carrying 10 tons of supplies. The planes will take off from Jordan, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

“This is urgent humanitarian aid, but it is not enough“, Barrot said on Franceinfo radio, describing the situation in Gaza as “horrific“.

On Tuesday, an international organization monitoring food security warned that a mass famine scenario was unfolding in Gaza. The population is failing to get enough to eat, and children under the age of five are dying from hunger-related complications. At the same time, humanitarian access to the Palestinian enclave remains severely limited.
