The European External Action Service summoned the diplomatic representatives of Russia and Belarus yesterday over the violation of Polish airspace, a European Commission spokesperson announced, BTA reports.
At two separate meetings, the EU expressed a strong position against the incident.
„We noted that Russia is continuing the war, and this latest step deepens it. We will continue to support Ukraine and increase the price for Russia,“ the spokesman said.
In recent hours, several EU countries have summoned Russian diplomats to protest the drone incursion over Poland earlier this week.
A joint EU statement described the violation as a deliberate act that poses a threat to the security of the entire union.
