Kazakhstan, and in particular the capital Astana, is expecting nearly 100,000 tourists to the World Nomad Games to be held next week.
«The participation of over 2,000 athletes from 89 countries has already been confirmed. The international media is also showing great interest,” said the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erzhan Erkinbaev. According to him, this “will be a record for such events” and will significantly increase tourist interest in the country.
«The experience of previous games shows that such events attract many tourists and contribute to the development of infrastructure. We are confident that hosting the World Nomad Games will give impetus to the development of tourism in Kazakhstan”, — says the deputy minister.
The program includes 21 types of games, the Kazakhstan team will participate in all of them. Kazakhstan will be represented at the games by 216 athletes and 23 coaches.
