Strong start for Bulgaria at the world travel exhibition World Travel Market in London. The Ministry of Tourism and National Geographic announced a joint advertising campaign aimed at presenting our country as an attractive destination for wine, gastronomic and MICE tourism. The Vice President of National Geographic's Media Partnership, Nadine Hegi, and the Minister of Tourism, Evtim Miloshev, officially announced the strategic partnership on the first day of the exhibition.
As part of the campaign, the National Geographic Creativeworks team will visit Bulgaria to film inspiring advertising videos that will be broadcast on National Geographic and 24 Kitchen in Europe, the Ministry of Tourism said. The commercials will launch in five key markets — UK, Germany, Spain, Poland and France, with additional content to be broadcast in the Netherlands, Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia.
The campaign includes over 2,430 airings of commercials and will span a wide range of formats across the TV and digital spectrum. The aim is to inspire foreign tourists to discover the unique culture, natural features and fine gastronomic experiences that Bulgaria has to offer. The included digital channels of the media group will reinforce the campaign with a variety of advertising formats aimed at inspiring viewers to visit our country and get to know the high standards of Bulgarian wineries, restaurants, hotels and convention centers.
During the event, Minister Miloshev and the Ambassador of Bulgaria in London Tihomir Stoychev visited the Bulgarian stand, where they congratulated the 27 companies, associations and municipalities presenting Bulgaria as a year-round tourist destination. Visitors to the exhibition had the opportunity to take a photo with Bulgarian landscapes at a special photo corner, as well as to “look” the nature and cultural sights of our country through VR technologies that recreate the magic of the Bulgarian sites protected by UNESCO.
