"The Republic of North Macedonia is ready to provide support to deal with the consequences of the floods", President Rumen Radev announced on the social network "Ex" after a phone conversation with his colleague Gordana Siljanovska.
"I thank President Gordana Siljanovska for the constructive phone conversation and the expressed condolences for the victims of the floods in Bulgaria, as well as for the stated readiness of the Republic of North Macedonia to provide support to deal with the consequences of the disaster," the Bulgarian head of state wrote.
The intense rains and floods affected a number of areas in the country, with part of the population left without electricity, and access to the affected areas is limited. The floods have claimed four lives, and emergency and recovery efforts continue, with volunteers, military and social service teams working to clear roads, ensure the safety of the population and restore normal life.
