The case with Blagomir Kotsev has two interpretations. On the one hand, that of the PP-DB is about political repression and a political prisoner. On the other hand, that of the judiciary, that there is serious data and witness testimony that confirm the guilt. This is a clear political clash between the PP-DB and the judiciary, because the topic of the vicious nature of the prosecutor's office is fundamental to the coalition. And it is not about a legal case at all.
This was said by political scientist Prof. Rumyana Kolarova in “Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov” on NOVA NEWS.
According to the political scientist, the government is trying to take into account public opinion and gave the new draft law on the ITN as an example. According to her, for this reason, radical reforms cannot be expected.
Kolarova said that Vasil Terziev claims that the garbage crisis can be solved without the help of the government. She added that it remains to be seen whether this can happen.
Regarding the case of The Wall Street Journal article, Kolarova believes that the political effect of the publication's material is that there will be a clash of interpretations, and politicians will not have common ground in their positions.
Kolarova is not sure that the decision adopted at first reading in the National Assembly on the sale of assets to "Lukoil" will be finally approved only with the approval of the State Agency for National Security and the Council of Ministers.
She also commented on the parliament's decision not to appoint the heads of DAR and DATO by decree of the head of state, but to be elected by the National Assembly. According to her, the executive branch is responsible for security policy.
In her words, the fact that the president can block personal appointments is the tacit strongest part of his powers since the amendment to the Constitution.
„This is where the ability of a head of state not to abuse comes in. Because the moment he abuses, this can easily be taken away from him”, added Kolarova.
According to her, Rumen Radev's chances of entering politics are decreasing given the way the government and the opposition function.
