Obviously, the president is in the most advantageous position of the three - Rumen Radev, Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski, because not only his opponents are not coping with governance, not only with political games. Everything they do is great stupidity. For example, taking away the administration's cars - stupidity, domestic and rural hooliganism. And they had not foreseen the reaction, and it was brilliantly executed.
This was commented on in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio by Prof. Alexander Marinov, former chairman of the Strategic Council under the President and one of the founders of the party "Bulgaria Can".
According to him, no one knows when the president will enter the political arena, because it depends on circumstances and, above all, on plans, but sooner or later he will appear in Bulgarian politics:
"Judging by objective data, I don't see any, because for an entry a different organization and preparation is needed, and the recruitment of a wide circle of authoritative and reliable people".
Marinov believes that if Borisov has to choose between Radev and Peevski, he will choose the lesser evil – Radev.
"From the point of view of rivalry with President Borisov, there is no horizon for him to return to a leading position, he wants to be left alone to live in peace. I see no threat from Radev. And Peevski will want to take control of his party. Borisov is defending himself with the help of GERB", added Alexander Marinov.
The former chairman of the President's Strategic Council predicted that parliamentary elections are possible at any time. And he pointed out:
"The problems are deepening and we are yet to see the more comprehensive effect of the euro, it is not just inflation. When we are in the eurozone, we will see whether our economy and social system are prepared to play in this top league".
And he warned:
"It will not get better, things will get more complicated, the most important reason is - not that some people want to stay in power, but to solve people's problems".
Marinov also commented on the efforts of the right to choose a presidential candidate.
"The right, no matter how many times they try, ends in failure, I'm not saying they won't succeed. And Iliana Yotova as a person and on a political level is a strong candidate. The question is who will stand behind her, so far no one is standing behind her. What organized force would stand behind her – is that the key?", he believes.
And what can get people to vote is a new personality, new ideas, a new formation and a new way of communicating with them.
