MECH party with a question about the legitimacy of a deputy from „Velichye“. According to Radostin Vassilev's formation, MP Maria Ilieva from Ivelin Mihaylov's people did not fill out her documents correctly and her signature was put by her party colleague.
According to MECH, this should lead to the cancellation of her mandate, and if „Velichye“ falls below 10 deputies - and to the dissolution of their group.
Mihaylov's formation responded that they are constantly being attacked by the ruling majority and invited to replace „There is such a people“ in the coalition.
The issue also reached the Presidential Council in the National Assembly, and all groups have announced that they will familiarize themselves with the case.
"Today, the Presidential Council discussed the case of an illegitimate MP in the 51st National Assembly – Maria Ilieva from “Velichy“, who was declared by the CEC as a MP without having filled out a declaration provided for in the Electoral Code, which is mandatory“, said Radostin Vassilev.
“People contacted me and told me – either you become part of the government and replace the ITN, or there will be scandals, arrests again“, said the leader of “Velichy“ Ivelin Mihaylov.
