Strong winds on the Greek island of Santorini changed the schedule of many planes heading to the local airport.
This also affected Bulgarian citizens who booked a holiday on the Greek island, as their charter flight from Sofia to Santorini was diverted to Athens, BNT reported, citing information from one of the traveling Bulgarians.
>After several hours of waiting at the airport in the Greek capital, the plane was diverted to return to Sofia due to bad weather conditions.
Passengers were given food and water.
The flight is expected to land in Sofia after 19:00.
At Santorini airport, flights from Athens, Munich and Paris are also delayed.
A yellow code for rain, thunder and storms has been announced on the Greek island for today and tomorrow.
