The battle for the 4 mandates in Pernik: Georg Georgiev from GERB against Kiril Petkov and Boyko Rashkov - 1

Four mandates will be contested by the parties in Pernik in the upcoming elections for the National Assembly. It is believed that the winner has already been announced. The big question mark is whether GERB-SDS will win two of the mandates, or whether they will be distributed one each to different political forces, BNR predicts.

A month before the elections, the only sure thing in Pernik is that the leader of the GERB list – SDS Georg Georgiev will once again represent the people of Pernik in the 50th National Assembly. Unlike "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" , who are still looking for a suitable soil, the GERB party has firmly planted roots in the region.

Kiril Petkov heads the list in Pernik of "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria". She was registered with the RIC this morning. The leader of the previous two elections – for the 48th and 49th National Assembly, Boyko Rashkov was placed in second place, but he retains his chance for the parliament, as Petkov is at the head of the list in Sofia as well.

Even when "There is such a people" and "Continuing the Change" were on the crest of the wave, Boyko Borisov had a score almost twice that of his opponents. There are no indications that anything has changed.

After the mayor Stanislav Vladimirov and the people around him left the BSP, with each subsequent vote the centenarian lost ground.

"Revival" but they are getting more and more entrenched.

A surprise can be expected from "There is such a people", while the DPS option of having a deputy from Pernik is only possible with the so-called large remainder method in allocating mandates. Something that has already happened.

In general, party life in Pernik is in the shadow of what is happening in the country. The parties are not particularly active at the local level, the politicians – too. Passive parties - passive voters. Bored, tired, disappointed - both by the political class as a whole and by the disassembled assembly.

Pernik is not among the poorest regions. His proximity to Sofia benefits people to some extent – both from opportunities for realization and income. However, the lack of stability and security in the country, the double arshin and corruption are running out of patience and hopes.

Pessimism prevails, and Europeans remain in the background, licked past our troubles. Guilt, for which the MEPs also have no doubt.

Despite the negativity, on June 9, some voters will stand in front of the polls. And they will vote. The results will probably be similar to the previous ones. However, the important thing is how the politicians will interpret them.
