The rebranding of Navistar to International includes three main tasks: to simplify the work with customers, to use a new portfolio of solutions and to long-term partnerships are developed. At the same time, IC Bus and Fleetrite will remain separate brands, but will be part of the international portfolio of the new brand.
„We make smart investments, take the right actions to make fundamental improvements and streamline the process to ensure future success. The company is busy updating its products. The next big thing for us is the Class 8 Cavion, more specifically the highway tug. We are also developing technology for electric vehicles,” said Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations Dan Kaiser.
According to Kaiser, the emphasis is also on quality and stabilizing the supply chain so that it can meet market demand in any given cycle.
The reasons for the rebranding also became known. They turned out to be three - a new leader with a new vision, the demands of shareholders and the obstacles created by the development of technology and new competitors. Navistar Corp., which was acquired by Volkswagen Group in 2021 through its Traton heavy-duty truck division, is now on its way to new heights under the International Motors brand.
The evolutionary process of wide transformation of the company continues from 2021. During this time it was possible to launch the International S13 integrated transmission, a new range of comprehensive solutions for battery electric vehicle owners and to revive the private financial services, which will now be marketed as International Financial.
According to President and CEO Matthias Karlbaum, returning to International is a recognition of our rich heritage as well as an investment in our promising future. The new International.com website will combine the existing Navistar.com and International Trucks.com sites under one umbrella. International also launched new social media accounts.
