After the death of the 5-year-old child in the village of Stob, Kocherinovo Municipality, the Executive Agency “Medical Supervision” an extraordinary inspection has begun. She will have to show if there were any gaps in the medical care provided to the child. He died at his home in the early hours of Sunday to Monday, after 2 hours before he had already been visited by an Emergency Service team, who found nothing wrong.

„On the 19th around 11 p.m., we received a report of a person with abdominal pain and diarrheal stools. When we went to the place, we found out that it was a 5-year-old child. It was contact, there was no temperature. His stomach had already calmed down. At the time in question, there were no signs of concern. I checked his lungs and heart. I think it was a virus that had been circulating for a few weeks. I talked to the parents about the dietary regime that must be followed because this virus is accompanied by vomiting, but the child had not vomited and there was not even nausea. This is what he said on the air of “Hello, Bulgaria” Dr. Vladimir Pandev, emergency physician from FSMP-Kyustendil.

In his words, after the examination, the emergency team returned to the Emergency Center in the city of Rila. “Around 1 o'clock on the 20th, we again responded to a call from the same address. The message was that the child had a seizure. When we arrived at the scene, we found that it had no vital functions – there was no breathing, no heart activity, no pulse. I immediately started resuscitation and we immediately transported him by ambulance to SPO Blagoevgrad. There, a resuscitation team took him over immediately, but unfortunately they were unable to help the child”, explained the medic.
