The restoration of the hiking trails to the Seven Rila Lakes has begun. The initiative is of the "Rila" national park, and the reason is that there are many sections that have been damaged or partially destroyed by unscrupulous tourists. What are the most common violations in the national park?
Going outside the designated areas, littering and bathing in the lake circus. These are some of the violations witnessed by tourists this summer in Rila, writes BNT.
"These violations to bathe, to throw, what kind of people are these, I cannot understand them. For me, the fines are not high, those who break exactly these rules are the ones with the expensive cars and a lot of money", says Spas Velyanov – mountaineer.
"The mountain is totally polluted. "Up from the mountain, I took down a sack of plastic waste", explained Ivan Belemezov – mountaineer.
"I have found foreigners throwing away the waste. I have even seen the Rila Lakes being entered. This is not permissible. Control is the most important thing!", Christian Kamenov is emphatic – tourist.
And while tourists appeal for stricter control, Rila National Park is repairing the 14-kilometer pavement connecting the Seven Rila Lakes.
"After each tourist season, it is necessary to carry out rehabilitation. This includes both the stone paths and broken markings, broken railings. Here it is important to appeal to the visitors - to move only on the designated paths, not to break the infrastructure, not to pollute and not to enter the lakes", appeals Krasimir Andonov – director of NP "Rila".
