Krasimir Karakachanov: Mitskoski is to blame for the situation in which RSM is - 1

RSM Prime Minister Hristiyan Mitskoski is to blame for the situation the country is in. This was stated by Krasimir Karakachanov in the program "Brussels 1" after the EU's decision to split Albania and North Macedonia for membership talks, quoted by FOCUS.

"This same Mr. Mitkoski, even during the time of the previous government of Macedonia, which adopted the "Macron" plan, he was the main factor that prevented the Constitution from being changed and the Bulgarians being registered as a constitutional nation. You hear what frivolous things the gentleman is talking about. He says: "We will not compromise with our identity", that is, with our identity. Ok, but the question arises - is it normal to build an identity on the basis of the Bulgarian identity, to deny the existence of a Bulgarian identity in Macedonia, to falsify Bulgarian history and to create an attitude of hatred and hostility both towards the Bulgarians in the RSM and towards the Bulgarian people as a whole and Bulgaria as a country", commented Karakachanov to Bulgaria ON AIR.

Karakachanov explained that as early as 2020 he told the European Commissioner for Enlargement that Skopje does not want to make the necessary compromises, solve the controversial problems with Bulgaria and pursue an honest policy. "Then the European officials slept through all that was happening. They thought that things could be covered up after one election in Bulgaria", added Karakachanov.

"If the European politicians and European commissioners at the time had thought about what I proposed to them, to separate Macedonia from Albania even then, for Albania to start negotiations, I am convinced that even in the Zaev government, they would have understood very clearly this sign they are getting now, four years later, and they would have taken much more adequate measures," he stressed.

"Mitskoski will try to instill hatred not only towards Bulgaria, but also towards the EU. He is already accusing them of double standards", Karakachanov also pointed out and concluded: "Politicians in RSM always have someone else to blame".
