Kornelia Ninova: BSP will not support a GERB cabinet - 1

"We are worried about the low voter turnout is another very serious sign to all political parties and the entire system. We all have to draw a conclusion from this and take measures.

This is what BSP chairman Cornelia Ninova told journalists.

"Thanks to all supporters and volunteers for the campaign. Thank you to everyone who came out and voted, although not for the BSP," the BSP leader added.

"After 10 years of fighting with the "GERB" model, we will not support them." However, Ninova did not comment on supporting another party.

"We appeared out of respect for the media and supporters. There will be further comments after the definitive election results", promised Cornelia Ninova.

„First of all, let us say that we are worried about the low voter turnout, which is another very serious sign to all parties, to the entire system, that we should all draw a conclusion from this and take measures. Second, to thank everyone who supported us, our activists, members, sympathizers and volunteers - to all of them I thank them for the wonderful campaign, for their efforts and work. And of course, to congratulate those who came out and voted, although not for “BSP for Bulgaria”, because they exercised their most important right – the right to choose”.

This was stated by BSP leader Cornelia Ninova in a first statement in front of the headquarters of the socialist party this evening. However, she addressed the media:

„Allow – results and actions henceforth to comment after the final results are out. We have stood here now out of respect for you, the media, because you have been here for a long time, out of respect for the voters, for all the members and sympathizers - to say hello and thank you. After the final results – we will hold a press conference and answer your questions," Ninova said.

In response to a question, she was categorical: “I think it is unnecessary after 10 years of fighting with the “GERD” model, to ask me if we would support GERD. No”.
