The Sofia City Court did not proceed with the case against Vasil Bozhkov. The reason is that the court did not order the summoning of the injured parties for today's hearing. The case was adjourned until July 5 at 11:30 a.m.

The first hearing in the case against the businessman, in which he is a defendant in an investigation into an organized criminal group for extortion, official and corruption crimes, was supposed to be held today.
The prosecutor's office claims that nearly BGN 560 million worth of damage was caused to the state budget. In this case, Bozhkov is accused of leading a criminal group for extortion, official and corruption crimes.
Prosecutor Angel Kanev asked not to proceed with the injunctive hearing, because the court had not summoned the injured brothers Boyan and Tsvetomir Naydenov, and that is why it was also postponed until July 5, reported lex.bg.
After the hearing, Vasil Bozhkov said that he would request that the case be heard in a shortened procedure, in which only 15-16 witnesses would be questioned, and not all 300. According to him, among the witnesses there were cleaners, maids and his 10 employees years and their readings were insignificant. Bozhkov added that he wants the process to end quickly and not drag on for 10 years.
