As of today, the formation of a government is not possible, GERB leader Boyko Borisov said at a briefing, quoted by bTV. At the session of the Parliament tomorrow, the party will propose Raya Nazaryan for the Speaker of the National Assembly.
"We will wait for the vote. From it, it will become clear whether we will continue to negotiate at all", explained Borisov.
“If the country was in a good state, they would fight over who would govern”, he pointed out.
„The colleagues from the DPS behaved responsibly, but from the very beginning we said that we will not manage with them alone”, he repeated again.
Borisov explained that at the meeting with the DPS they reaffirmed what they had been doing for a year together with the PP-DB – the euro area, aid to Ukraine, Schengen, deficits, social payments, infrastructure, anti-corruption, energy.
„We receive absolutely populist demands from the other parties. They want only us to take this responsibility”, declared Borisov.
„Even the colleagues from PP-DB do not want to take revenge on us for the fact that for a year with one minister we strengthened this assembly in the name of the geostrategic direction of the country”, the leader of GERB also said.
„The real revenge of GERB is if I become prime minister. But we don't want a rematch“, he was categorical.
Borisov also stated that there are no arrangements outside the negotiating team.
