Bliznashki: PP-DB must think how they will survive at all and there is no force that will bring them into government - 1

If they want to overcome this situation in the National Assembly, they must change the formula – to go to a government without prominent political figures and reach a short agreement.

This was commented by the constitutionalist and former acting Prime Minister Prof. Georgi Bliznashki in an interview with the BNR.

"The government depends on those elections across the ocean and then asking for a vote of confidence and assessing when to have new elections,", he commented.

According to him, today's battle for the chairmanship in the National Assembly has another meaning - what the future government should look like:

"Obviously, those who would support a government - ITN and BSP, will not accept this partisan formula. DPS want their piece of the pie. If we are moving towards shared responsibility, not only ministers from GERB, but also from DPS, this is the meaning of Peevski's appearance.

The silence of the Head of State Rumen Radev at the opening of the 50th National Assembly made the strongest impression on Prof. Bliznashki.

"They are repeating the main points from their election platforms, they are not out of the campaign yet. But the president's silence was deafening. It is a sign that the situation is indeed alarming. Let us not forget that it all started with that fist waved in the square and for the fourth year this chaos continues. I call it the agony of statehood, this is the fourth year and things are about to become tragic", warned Prof. Bliznashki.
And he commented that there was talk about "the necessity of convening a Great National Assembly" and "establishment of the Sixth Bulgarian State".

"This means a new type of republic – presidential. But this is a very risky move. I don't think it will go in that direction, but the threat remains. If a government is not formed now and early parliamentary elections are held, it will be a disaster. Now, with great difficulty, they brought them to 30% of voters. Borisov himself will lose a lot in the next election campaign," the former acting prime minister predicts.

And predicts that there will be no new assembly:

"PP-DB are on the brink of the bare minimum, they have to think about how they will survive at all, and there is no force to get them into government."

"PP-DB have other concerns, Hristo Ivanov pretends to be a sage. The US withdraws from Eastern Europe – they just stop throwing money away. The best news is that Hristo Ivanov is retiring. This is the most harmful person", said Prof. Bliznashki and admitted that President Rosen Plevneliev had pushed Hristo Ivanov to be the Minister of Justice in his office.
