GERB decisively won yesterday's vote for municipal councilors in Haskovo with 36.79 percent of the votes. They are followed by DPS with 24.70 percent and "Blue Bulgaria" with 7.02 percent. This becomes known from the final results of 100 percent processed sectional protocols in the Municipal Election Commission (MEC), they announced, quoted by BTA.
Elections for a new Municipal Council were held after the administrative courts annulled the vote from October 29, 2023 at two instances following an appeal by six parties and coalitions. Yesterday, 77,049 people had the right to vote in Haskovo municipality. Voting took place in 152 sectional committees. The final voter turnout was 36.05 percent.
Trust of the "People's Voice" Party gave 5.40 percent of the voters. Coalition "Bulgaria of the Regions" collects 5.17 percent. "Revival" have a score of 4.20 percent. From the parliamentaryly represented political forces "BSP for Bulgaria" has 3.07 percent, "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" 2.97 percent and "There is such a people" - 2.68 percent.
The process of processing and entering the results was delayed because the technology refused to read the flash cards from the voting machines, announced the chairman of the OIC Dobromir Yakimov. Data had to be entered manually.
The OIC also determined the municipal electoral quota - 659 votes. On this basis, the election administration also decided on the allocation of mandates. According to the lot drawn by the CEC, they are as follows: "Voice of the people" - three, "BSP for Bulgaria" - one, "Blue Bulgaria" - three, "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" - one, GERB - 17, "There is such a people" - one, "Bulgaria of the Regions" - two, "Revival" - two and DPS - 11.
