"It is extremely important to continue to locate the fire, to put it out all outbreaks and the state, in the face of its institutions, to show that it can be coordinated and fully mobilized and to support the people of the affected areas". This was stated by President Rumen Radev, who arrived in the municipality of Bolyarovo, which suffered from the fires, Nova TV reported.
He expressed gratitude to the firemen, army personnel, forest officials, volunteers and the local government, because no loss of human life was allowed.
In response to a question about the institutions' response to the disaster, the president said that "now is the time for action, not analysis and reports". "The evaluation is given by the people. Of course there are things that need to be improved. But the region of Bolyarovo is a typical example of how, when the state mobilizes with all its power and all institutions work in a coordinated manner, even the strongest disasters can be extinguished, he stressed.
Commenting on how to help those affected by the fire in the first place, he said, "it has been discussed where to find vans to accommodate people. "The call is not to divide people. A common solution must be found for all. When vans are delivered to specific individuals, and everyone needs them - this creates tension in people, and not a little. There is a large reserve of vans in the refugee centers in Lyubimets and Elhovo, which are currently empty, but are equipped and adapted for living," said the head of state. And he added: "I propose to the Ministry of the Interior that part of these vans be delivered to where it is needed.
