„We must return to the traditional conservative formats for creating a government, knowing what it will do”. Political scientist Tatyana Burudzhieva said this on Nova TV.
After GERB leader Boyko Borisov stated yesterday that he and his party have positioned themselves and it will be "easy" for him, political scientist Georgi Kiryakov commented that this is not the case.
„It will not be easy for Borisov. For two years he tried to create a majority, but failed. If it is still the first political force and still cannot form a majority, this cannot be defined as an easy task. The question is not whether the coalition will be “anti-Peevski”, but what it will do in the management of the state, the priorities, the management program”, commented the political scientist Georgi Kiryakov. “The previous majority, which was with the participation of Peevski, had some priorities that stumbled somewhere. Where? They stumbled at the moment when the balance of power in some of the institutions had to be changed, Kiryakov also commented.
In his words, the parties cannot reach a consensus on the main issues, such as how to reform the institutions.
„PP-DB tried to make some kind of reform, it was not very successful. They tried to pressure GERB and DPS to change the balance of power in these institutions. It's not about electing independent people, it's about making the balance in power so that everyone is satisfied and we have blocking quotas,” commented Kiryakov.
On the case with the election of the chief prosecutor, Tatiana Burudzhieva said that many of the significant personal changes do not lead to any change.
„You remember how much we talked about Geshev and the desire for him to be replaced. We have been without him for several years and there is no difference," Burudzhieva said.
The two political scientists also commented on the conflict Delyan Peevski – Ahmed Dogan.
„I see an attempt to control the DPS brand by one faction or the other. I see desire and fear that if they don't appear with the abbreviation DPS, they can lose a lot. This battle will not end until the election campaign begins and during the campaign and will be decided in court. But they have to register, so there is a rush and positional games are played between the two camps. It is quite possible to register coalitions without DPS in the name, and then the persons will come out – on one side Dogan, on the other - Peevski”, Kiryakov said.
Regarding BSP, according to Burudzhieva, the case there is not as big as in DPS.
„They do not have co-presidents with equal rights”, explained Burudzhieva. “We see what we had not imagined – party leaders to work for their split”, said Burudzhieva.
Regarding the BSP, Tatyana Burudzhieva said that she expects us to attend the “next circus”.
According to Kiryakov, there is a need for a new left, created around new values.
