Unification on the right
„Blue Sofia” and „Yes, Bulgaria” will work together in the Sofia Municipal Council. „It would be nice for the right to unite on a national scale”, said in the studio of „Your Day” on NOVA NEWS the municipal councilor from „Blue Sofia” Prof. Vili Lilkov, who is also the deputy chairman of the SOS.
He recalled how this decision was reached. „About a month ago, the SS said that they were withdrawing their trust from the mayor of Sofia and leaving the coalition with the PP-DB. Then we announced a series of initiatives and reforms that must happen. This was in response to the collapse of the majority and its fall into crisis”, Lilkov explained.
The Sofia City Council Budget
„The fact that we did not support the Sofia City Council budget does not mean that we support Vasil Terziev. We simply did not agree with the way in which the budget plan is being transformed”, the municipal councilor emphasized.
According to him, the changes in the Sofia City Council budget were presented within the framework of a single meeting. The purpose of the rush is to show the mayor's strength on the part of the majority and to push through the framework that provides for an increase in salaries in public transport, Lilkov believes. „We have once again poured tens of millions of leva into an unreformed system. Next year this amount will have to be doubled, and then tripled”, the deputy chairman of the SOS is categorical.
The case of Sofia's garbage
“In my opinion, this crisis is being fabricated because the budget for cleanliness this year is record-breaking. It is much higher than in previous years. We have no problem with payment, but rather with control”, Lilkov claims.
