The gentleman's agreement is an election trap that there's no way to get caught. It is clear that the parties have mastered the mechanics of winning votes well, but the other big lesson – what is done after the elections – not mastered. Otherwise, the pre-election negotiations about who should govern with whom continue.

This was stated on NOVA NEWS by the temporary chairman of the BSP Atanas Zafirov.

The deputy explained that it is extremely necessary to start a real dialogue between the parties after the end of the next early elections in order to cast a regular government and avoid the appearance of “parliamentary monsters”.

Zafirov also shared that GERB leader Boyko Borisov is interested in Kornelia Ninova continuing to lead the processes in the BSP, so that the party can be weak, divided and easily manipulated.

The interim leader of the Socialists assured that the BSP's ambitions are to be either the first political force or a very strong opposition after the October 27 elections. He pointed out that the pre-election platform will be completed tomorrow, which will step on the social rights of citizens.

The fight against corruption and the development of the economy are among the other main priorities of the party, it became clear from the words of Atanas Zafirov.

Regarding the registration of the BSP in the CEC by Georgi Svilenski and Ivan Chenchev, Zafirov explained that it was done with a “false stamp”.

This seal that they used to register for the elections has nothing to do with the original party seal that is locked in the party office at “Positano” 20. This was another demonstration in the context of all these attempts to sabotage and invalidate the BSP, commented Zafirov.

In conclusion, Zafirov admitted that BSP is mired in serious debts and its financial condition is not at all good.
