"When a nation loses two of its eagles, it's hard to talk Perhaps it is better then to close our mouths and open our hearts with compassion, love and respect for these people and their loved ones.

This was stated by the pilot Yanko Stoimenov in the studio of the show "The Day ON AIR".

The black box of the L-39 plane that crashed a few days ago in Graf Ignatievo was sent to the division in Dolna Mitropolia, but it has not yet been read. Two pilots died in the plane crash.

Stoimenov noted that it is important to read the plane's black box because it can reveal many facts about the cause of the fatal accident.

Stoimenov stressed that it is difficult to make assumptions without the facts, but he expects that the records can provide a clear idea of the causes of the crash.

The guest also pointed to similar incidents around the world, noting that in the past nine months there have been nine fatal aviation crashes with eight victims in various countries, including France, Spain, Argentina and Malaysia. Such cases are not uncommon and even involve highly trained military pilots.

"In such demonstrations, we pilots consciously put ourselves on the edge of human capabilities and those of technology. This is done in order to raise the spirits of those who are down," Stoimenov told Bulgaria ON AIR.

He talked about his own experience with the L-29 combat trainer and how, during low-altitude maneuvers, he found himself in situations where overloads led to a loss of orientation and physical control.

"The catapult is a very nice thing, but it is not a panacea. If you eject at the moment of a vertical maneuver or any maneuver related to a large overload, you will not survive it," explained Stoimenov.

The aviation community responded with deep sympathy by organizing an initiative to help the families of the fallen pilots.
