One of the most important reasons for the tragic accident of "Count Ignatievo" is insufficient training time for our airmen. This was stated by the former Minister of Defense Velizar Shalamanov on the air of BNT, quoted by novini.bg.
According to him, a parliamentary commission should be created to find the answers to several questions.
"Why can't our pilots make 100-200 flights a year? Also, how does such demonstrations and airshows help the training of airmen? How is the Air Force preparing for the F-16 and the rest of the equipment, Shalamanov asked.
"We can't expect pilots with 50 hours when it's estimated that you should have 100-200 hours, he added.
The plane is not divided into old or new, but whether it meets the requirements to perform flights. That is why I asked: to what extent these demonstrations fit into the process of training pilots. How is it planned, how is it financed, how is an airshow carried out, Shalamanov added.
