Amidst increased tension in the ruling coalition and accusations against opposition mayors, Ivaylo Mirchev from PP-DB stated in "The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov" that the mention of Asen Vassilev's name in the case against Blagomir Kotsev does not bother him. He commented on the tension in the coalition.
From the words of Ivaylo Mirchev it became clear that he is not worried about the fact that late last night the name of Assen Vassilev appeared in the indictment against the mayor of Varna, Blagomir Kotsev.
„If there is something that worries me, it is if Mrs. Plamenka had mentioned the name of Donald Trump. Then we should have released Donald Trump to Interpol and somehow brought him to Bulgaria.
What happens - a lady appears, in this case Plamenka, and says some advisers to the PP, they told me that the money is for Assen Vassilev. Well, according to this logic, she can say any name. She can say Angelina Jolie, Schwarzenegger, Brad Pitt. She can say Boyko Borisov. We had one such case - Vasil Bozhkov – The skull had said that he personally brought money to Boyko Borisov and in no way did the prosecution implicate Boyko Borisov, I have no such memory of implicating him, which means that there should be no investigation", commented Ivaylo Mirchev from PP-DB.
According to him, if the case is heard in Varna, it is not clear what the outcome will be.
„Obviously, this is an attack on the opposition mayors, which does not mean that they should not be investigated when there are doubts and signals".
