Prof. Anna Krasteva: PP-DB to address the ever-decreasing voters - 1

The sophisticated political language and the exchange of gentleman's letters against the background of the collapse of statehood is a kind of turning a blind eye to what is happening in the state.

This is what political scientist Prof. Anna Krasteva told "Focus“.

"What can be gentlemanly in the situation of the Wild West?“, she asked a question and added that the Bulgarian political scene today is best referred to the mastering of the Wild West with the use of various methods, such as financial, economic , political as well as symbolic and legal for the control of more and more goods.

This is precisely why, in her opinion, the PP-DB should turn to the ever-decreasing voters, and not exchange gentlemen's discursive rhetorical skirmishes with Boyko Borisov. "Both of them, after all, do not behave like gentlemen.“

According to the political scientist, there are already three dividing lines in Bulgarian society: the topic of Bulgaria's Euro-Atlantic orientation, the attitude towards corruption, and the third dividing line is the disintegration of statehood. According to her, both parties should clearly explain to their voters what they think about what is happening: how can a party be stolen, how can a bank be stolen without sanction, how can the judicial system be completely subordinated not to the law, not to the law, but of a person or key elements in the judicial system.“

A priority task for the elites today, according to her, is not to allow the disintegration of the state. "The clear priority of those who want to take over the state helm should be statehood in Bulgaria – it must be saved from this decay, from this absolute downward spiral, which it is speeding along,” Prof. Anna Krasteva is categorical.
