At a meeting in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) with the ambassador of Hungary in Sofia, on the Bulgarian side, categorical disagreement was expressed with the intervention on behalf of Bulgaria in the case of the delivery of shipments of communication equipment to the territory of Lebanon and Syria, the department announced, BTA reported.
Bulgaria insists on responsible and factual behavior on the part of Budapest, the message says.
A demarche was held before the Hungarian ambassador on the issue, the MFA added.
The department emphasizes that checks were carried out by the National Tax Service, together with the National Revenue Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the “Customs” Agency. "It has been established in an indisputable and categorical manner that no communication devices responsible for the explosions in Lebanon and Syria were imported, exported or produced in Bulgaria,", the announcement says.
Bulgaria has nothing to do with the production and passage of the pagers blown up in Lebanon and Syria. This was said yesterday by acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev. He clarified that our country has nothing to do with customs clearance of goods. The only thing that happened was cash flows that went through invoices. The invoices say they are for services. Banks must have grounds for transfers. The reason for the transfer is services, not goods, explained Glavchev.
