From 00:00 today the election campaign has officially started for the early parliamentary vote on October 27, BTA reported.
It will end at 24:00 on October 25, 2024, and it will be held in Bulgarian, according to the schedule published on the website of the Central Election Commission (CEC). Citizens, parties, coalitions, initiative committees, candidates and advocates have freedom of expression and election campaigning in oral and written form at election meetings, as well as through media service providers. Pre-election meetings are public. The organizers and the authorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are responsible for the order of their conduct. Meetings are organized according to the Law on Meetings, Rallies and Manifestations.
28 political formations will take part in the elections on October 27 – 19 parties and nine coalitions.
Earlier this week, the CEC determined by lot the numbers of parties and coalitions on the ballot.
Applications for voting abroad can be submitted until October 1. By October 5, the CEC will determine the countries and sections for voting outside the border.
In the country, 11,647 sections will be opened according to preliminary data of the Main Directorate "Civil Registration and Administrative Services", and in 9353 voting will be done by machine. The number of registered voters is 6,640,383.
