The seventh election in a row comes with seven political forces in the parliament. There is a process of continuous fragmentation of the political space, of growing apathy, alienation of people and reluctance to vote. This is what sociologist Boryana Dimitrova from the “Alfa Research” agency commented in the Euronews Primetime studio.
Seven political forces enter the 51st parliament according to the latest survey by the "Alpha Research" agency, but more than half of Bulgarians do not believe that a regular government will be formed. The survey was conducted in the period September 18-24 and was implemented with the agency's own funds. It was conducted among 1000 adult citizens from all over the country, through a direct standardized interview with tablets.
People go to the polls, vote, but consecutive parliaments end fruitlessly and without the implementation of their main task – broadcast of a government and implementation of the country's management, continued Dimitrova. According to her, the next elections are taking place in an environment of increasing anxiety and demotivation of people.
At the moment, we register about 30-31% conviction of people to go to the polls, which is 3-4% less than in the elections a few months ago. This is the first very serious problem – will the voters go to the polls and what kind of picture can be obtained in the parliament as fewer and fewer votes are needed for any exotic entity to break the 4% barrier.
“Alpha Research” registered seven parties at the start of the campaign, and they have a relatively high probability of being present in the next National Assembly.
According to the agency, the first place is occupied by GERB-SDS with 23.8%, and the battle for the second place will be between PP-DB with 14.4% and “Vazrazhdane” with 14.2%.
As one of the great Boryana Dimitrova defined what is happening with the split in the DPS. Currently, the data of “Alpha Research” show that there is a high chance that both wings will jump the barrier. About 7.9% of the votes will be received by the "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" coalition. (the wing around Ahmed Dogan), and 6.1 will take “DPS-New Beginning”. BSP will get 6.3 out of 100 votes, and ITN – 5.4%.
